Was Isaiah subconsciously recounting here a Jewish folk-memory of the Deluge, a seven day event with lights associated with it? In Khima and Kesil' (SISR 3:3 ) Velikovsky discusses a passage from the Talmud, concluding that it means two stars erupted from the planet Saturn and caused the Deluge.
